Etiquette
In today's world it is necessary to have guidelines for the nudist
lifestyle. Not only is it very easy to destroy all the hard work we have
put into social acceptance, but people who are new to the lifestyle may not
realize how to properly deal with social circumstances. The following are
basic guidelines:
No overt sexual activity! Nude is not lewd, but public sexual activity is illegal and undermines our image.
Don’t stray from established or designated areas.
No photographs without the permission of those being photographed.
Stay out of environmentally sensitive areas.
Obey parking and other posted rules.
Be friendly, but don’t intrude.
Clothing-optional means exactly that; nudity is never required.
Respect and protect wild life.
Help eliminate litter by bringing trash bags and carry out more than you take in.
Be polite to park rangers and law enforcement officials.
Always sit on your own towel.
Speak up for standards. If a person seems unaware of proper naturist etiquette, explain politely and plainly. Report persistent problems to a Suncoast Naturist officer.
What should I
bring on my first visit?
Bring along two towels, one to sit on at all times when you
are nude and one to dry with after a, hot tub soak, a shower or a dip in the
pool.
You may want to bring along any refreshments you might need or
want (BYOB) such as you might bring for a day at the beach or a picnic.
Bring along sunscreen lotion with the appropriate SPF factor
and by all means use it. No sense taking home a sunburn as your first SCN
souvenir!
Last but not least "Bring Yourself", your first visit is a
special one and maybe your first step and we want you to remember it!
